North Star Nerdlesque Festival Opening Spectacular
Join us for the third annual North Star Nerdlesque Festival Opening Spectacular — the official kickoff to a weekend of glitter, fandom, and unforgettable performances. Celebrate the best nerdlesque in the North Star State and beyond with a curated lineup of dazzling acts from coast to coast. Thursday night sets the stage with an intimate, high-energy show you won’t want to miss — and your first chance to experience the magic of this year’s festival. Hosted by: Texas Tea Cake$, Ostara Reign, and Curvee B Cast announcements go live end of April, including Thursday night featured performer! This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

LADY BUNNY BUTCHERS BROADWAY New York’s legendary drag icon Lady Bunny returns to the stage with an all-new show! Bunny Butchers Broadway is a must-see, laugh-out-loud blend of musical theatre, pop parody, and outrageous comedy.Bunny takes on Broadway classics like Wicked, Dreamgirls, Mamma Mia, and Chicago with her trademark humor, while also skewering pop stars from Ariana Grande to Chappell Roan, and Dua Lipa to Lady Gaga. She debuts brand-new comedy songs that have wowed audiences from Sydney to London, including an ode to Ozempic, a cheeky number about her anatomy, and the biting rock anthem “This Country!”
Smutty Minnesota Wolf Bird: A Heated Fundraiser to Melt ICE
On April 17, at the Amsterdam Bar & Hall, Queenie von Curves and Tropes & Trifles will be hosting a “Smutty Minnesota Wolf Bird: A Heated Fundraiser to Melt ICE.” It’s going to be an all-out evening of smutty readings, burlesque babes and Heated Rivalry-inspired fandom, with all proceeds split equally and donated to the Greater Longfellow Neighbor Relief Fund and Neighbors Helping Neighbors. As an additional part of the evening, Tropes & Trifles is organizing a silent auction to raise additional funds for these two amazing organizations that are providing support directly to members of our community who have been directly affected by the ongoing ICE surge. Costumes encouraged! (Will we see some hockey loons there?) (Please leave hockey sticks at home.) Hosts, performers and readers are donating their time and talents, so don’t forget to bring cash to tip them!
